Position Summary:

The HR Manager / Payroll Processor is responsible for overseeing daily human resources functions while ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing through ADP Workforce Now. This role manages employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, compliance, benefits administration, payroll processing, and personnel documentation. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, able to manage confidential information, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day HR operations across multiple properties or locations.

Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations matters and HR inquiries.

Coordinate recruitment efforts including job postings, applicant screening, interview scheduling, and onboarding.

Conduct new hire orientations and ensure completion of onboarding documentation.

Maintain accurate employee personnel files and HR records.

Administer employee benefits including enrollments, changes, waivers, and open enrollment support.

Track employee leave requests including FMLA, PTO, disability, and other protected leave programs.

Assist management with disciplinary actions, investigations, coaching, and performance management.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.

Maintain HR policies, procedures, employee handbooks, and compliance postings.

Coordinate workers’compensation claims, incident reporting, and return-to-work documentation.

Support employee engagement initiatives and company training programs.

Payroll Responsibilities:

Process payroll accurately and timely using ADP Workforce Now.

Review and audit employee timecards, overtime, PTO, deductions, and wage adjustments.

Process new hires, terminations, garnishments, direct deposits, and payroll changes in ADP.

Ensure payroll compliance with wage and hour regulations.

Generate payroll reports and assist with labor cost analysis.

Coordinate payroll tax reporting and year-end processing including W-2 preparation.

Reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve employee payroll concerns.

Maintain confidentiality and security of payroll information.

Assist with benefit deductions and retirement contribution processing.

Qualifications:

Minimum 3–5 years of Human Resources and payroll experience.

Minimum 2 years of experience using ADP Workforce Now.

Strong understanding of payroll processing, employment law, HR compliance, and benefits administration.

Experience handling confidential employee information with professionalism and discretion.

Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in property management, multi-site operations, or maintenance staffing environments preferred.

HR certification such as SHRM-CP, PHR, or equivalent is a plus.

Experience with employee investigations and performance management.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer.

Ability to occasionally travel between office or property locations.

Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.

Office environment with frequent interaction with employees, managers, and vendors.
