Our client is seeking a skilled CNC Horizontal Boring Mill Machinist to join their 2nd shift team. As a key member, you will be responsible for operating, setting up, and editing programs for CNC HBM mills. This role demands strong blueprint reading skills, proficiency in program editing, and a comprehensive understanding of machine settings.
Primary Responsibilities:
Review router and product drawing for setup, program creation/editing, and machining of various oil field equipment components.
Calculate and set speeds and feeds for different materials.
Monitor machine operation, make adjustments, and perform major program edits as needed.
Machine parts within specified tolerances, ensuring minimal scrap and adherence to production schedules.
Conduct in-process inspections to meet quality standards.
Collaborate with engineers and production personnel to resolve machining or assembly issues.
Comply with company policies and safety requirements.
Broad knowledge of CNC operation, programming, edits, and tool selection.
Adhere to safety requirements and facility-specific procedures.
Education & Experience Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED.
5-10+ years of CNC mill operating experience. (Specifically Horizontal Boring Mill)
Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
Flexibility to work overtime and stand for extended periods.
