Position Type: Full-time, Monday to Friday (with potential for overtime) Summary/Objective: We are seeking a dedicated HR Specialist to assist in the daily operations and administrative tasks of the HR department. This role requires expertise in various areas including Talent Acquisition, HRIS, Performance Management, Benefits, and Talent Development.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and review HR department initiatives, policies, procedures, and systems.
Handle the recruitment process from job description creation, and posting advertisements, to overseeing the hiring process.
Collaborate with hiring managers for staffing needs.
Facilitate training and development programs.
Assist in performance evaluation processes and maintain employee records.
Ensure compliance with all company policies and legal requirements.
Use online channels to source potential candidates.
Lead employer branding initiatives and participate in recruitment events.
Handle administrative tasks as necessary.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’ s degree in HR management or a related field.
Relevant experience in an HR role.
Familiarity with HR functions (compensation, recruitment, training, etc.)
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Credentials like PHR, SHRM-CP.
Proficient in using social media, CV databases, and professional networks for recruitment.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong analytical and reporting abilities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office; HRMS knowledge is beneficial.
Critical thinking and problem-solving aptitude.
Solid organizational and time-management skills.
Familiarity with employment laws and regulations.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
Office environment with occasional site visits.
Ability to lift/move up to 20 lbs.
Travel: Up to 10% to US Port locations.
