POSITION: HUMAN RESOURCES GENERALIST

LOCATION: BALTIMORE, MD.

About Our Client:

Our client, a Leader in the global automotive service industry with multiple locations in both the United States and Mexico is hiring a Human Resources Generalist to join their growing team in their Baltimore, MD office.



This is a full-time position with the company. This position requires the HR Generalist to be onsite in the Baltimore, MD., office five days per week.

Job Description:

The HR Generalist will own the site Human Resources process for this office, including Payroll processing. As the face of Human Resources, the HR Generalist will build strong partnerships with leadership while balancing employee advocacy.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with local leadership to ensure HR is taking a proactive approach and fostering strong, trustworthy relationships with leadership and employees.
  • Onboard new hires
  • Compile and process weekly payroll data and review for accuracy, collaborating with local leadership and corporate Payroll as required
  • Reconcile temporary workforce payroll/billing
  • Maintain/update employee data in HRIS
  • Participate in Corporate HR projects
  • Coordinate recruiting process
  • Actively participate and be the first line contact for all site HR, benefit, and wellness activities (such as new hire eligibility, open enrollment, life events, and general questions)
  • Coordinate Worker's Compensation claims and reporting in a timely manner
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and legal responsibilities

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent. Associate's/Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required.
  • 3+ years of experience working in Human Resources
  • 3+years’experience with Payroll, preferably UKG
  • Previous union experience highly desired
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to think critically
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent Excel skills
  • Current SHRM-CP or PHR or willingness to obtain
