HR Generalist - Full-Time Position
Location: Baltimore, MD (zip code 21226)
About the Role
The HR Generalist is at the forefront of our HR operations, responsible for managing site Payroll and Human Resources processes. This role is instrumental in building reliable partnerships with leadership and ensuring employee advocacy.
Salary: $60, 000 - $70, 000 annually
Key Responsibilities:
- Compile and process weekly payroll data, ensuring accuracy in collaboration with local leadership and corporate Payroll.
- Maintain and update employee data in the HRIS system.
- Oversee the recruiting process.
- Ensure seamless onboarding for new hires.
- Serve as the primary contact for all site HR, benefits, and wellness inquiries.
- Handle temporary workforce payroll/billing reconciliation.
- Coordinate Worker's Compensation claims and reporting promptly.
- Engage with local leadership to proactively address HR concerns and build trusting relationships with leadership and staff.
- Uphold company policies and procedures, ensuring legal compliance.
- Engage in Corporate HR projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Human Resources.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Payroll.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- High proficiency in Excel.
- Organizational prowess.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience with ADP.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business or Human Resources.
- Current SHRM-CP or PHR or willingness to obtain.
- Experience working with unions.
- Availability for local travel (up to 20%) and US travel (up to 10%).
