Environmental/Civil Project Manager

Job Description


We are currently seeking a Project Manager to join a client of ours. My client is a full-service environmental consulting and engineering services provider, specializing in a wide array of environmental services including consulting, engineering, water and wastewater management, testing, and remediation. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a dynamic and growing team.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Manage engineering projects such as stormwater drainage design, wastewater treatment, and shoreline stabilization from initial planning through to construction oversight.
  • Conduct field evaluations, including inspections, infiltration testing, and field measurements.
  • Develop civil/site engineering reports, calculations, drawings, and assessments.
  • Interpret and apply federal, state, and local regulations to various client projects.
  • Prepare and submit permit applications at local, state, and federal levels.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to review and refine work products.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors such as surveyors, wetland scientists, and general contractors.
  • Ensure scheduling aligns with client deadlines and requirements.
  • Analyze data, create reports, and maintain communication with clients.
  • Address client or regulator requests for information regarding reports and project details.
  • Work closely with other engineers and project managers across the organization.

Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in civil/environmental site design.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • EIT certification.
  • Knowledge of hydrologic and hydraulic design procedures (e.G., TR-55, Rational Method).

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Licensed Professional Engineer.
  • Familiarity with HydroCAD.
  • Experience with structural design.
  • Self-motivated with strong strategic planning and project management skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
