About Our Client
Our client, an agile and fast-growing B2C e-commerce marketing and professional services company, operating strictly in the B2C world across North America, is looking to hire an Email Marketing Developer on a 4-month contract, with a possibility of an extension or move to perm. As their Email Marketing Developer you will get 2 well-known brands under your name, and advance your skills under industry leaders in both Canada and the U.S. Please note this role will start with an hourly rate in the $35 - 55/ hour range depending on your experience. All applicants please state your hourly range and if you prefer to be on payroll or if you are an IC.


Responsibilities

As part of the Marketing team, the Email Marketing Developer will be responsible for performing a diverse range of functions including but not limited to:

  • Provide strategic and technical support to help us maximize our use of email marketing/automation in order to educate and engage our lead & customer base for at least 2 brands to start
  • Build customer journeys within marketing automation platforms
  • Daily updates on the data pulled from email campaigns, noting any inconsistencies
  • Compare findings from data across multiple systems. Confirm all emails are deployed to the right audiences
  • As part of a team, come up with ideas for new email campaigns
  • Plan and perform A/B testing across a range of variables to enhance email performance and customer engagement
  • Make recommendations on aspects of emails including content, segmentation, testing, deployment, and optimization
  • Monitor campaigns daily for accuracy including opens, clicks, and conversions
  • Evaluate, synthesize, and report on campaign metrics to the Marketing team
  • Serve as the point person between Marketing teams, email vendors/agencies, and technical partners to ensure emails are properly built, optimized, etc.

Qualification Requirements:
  • 3-5 years experience in email marketing/automation
  • Experience with Iterable and Acoustic preferred
  • Advanced data literacy, with B2C marketing data exposure
  • 1+ year or more using Salesforce Marketing Cloud
  • Experience with SFMC/CSS/HTML - Azure would be great too - all things that let cloud services come to life
  • Ability to design frameworks for A/B testing in email
  • Understanding of B2B, B2C and B2B2C marketing would be an asset
