We are a multi-discipline engineering and environmental consulting firm, dedicated to aiding both public and private clients in the planning, development, design, construction, and maintenance of vital infrastructure projects. Our reputation as a consulting firm known for leadership and quality services is built on our proactive approach and robust project management. The position involves delivering responsive, diligent, and collaborative support to clients within the renewable power industry, with a focus on candidates experienced in renewable energy projects, specifically in solar and energy storage. The candidate will be engaged in a variety of tasks applying standard engineering and design techniques for both small and large-scale projects involving solar PV, wind, and battery energy storage.
Responsibilities include:
Designing and drafting single-line diagrams, as well as three-line diagrams (AC & DC, LV & MV).
Conducting short circuit, arc flash, protection coordination, and insulation coordination studies.
Performing load flow studies (voltage drop, losses, reactive power needs).
Executing grounding studies and ampacity studies.
Preparing equipment specifications and inspection point plans.
Upholding firm standards and ensuring consistency.
Coordinating with other project disciplines, including civil and structural engineers.
Supporting project construction by addressing contractor and owner requests, including RFIs and submittal reviews.
Job Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Skills):
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
PE (Electrical) certification is required.
Working knowledge of NEC 2020 & 2017.
AC and DC electrical knowledge is required, with a preference for solar project experience.
Substation and overhead line design knowledge is advantageous.
Strong project management, reporting, and technical skills, with attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English;Spanish proficiency is a plus.
