Job Description
Do you enjoy troubleshooting electrical systems in a fast paced industrial manufacturing environment?
The Electrical Engineer is responsible for developing and managing the maintenance and reliability of systems as well as supporting the objectives of the facility to achieve business goals while developing, administering, and maintaining plant electrical systems reporting directly to the Electrical Supervisor.
Schedule Monday- Friday 8: 30 - 5: 00pm
Rotating on call plan once a month
Must have requirements:
- Bachelor’ s Degree in Electrical Engineering or other technical field preferred

10+ Electrical Engineer experience troubleshooting and managing at least 1-3 team members in an industrial environment
- industrial environment e.G. Wood processing facility, TFL (short cycle presses)

Proven ability to read blueprints, European E-plan drawings, sketches, written instructions and interpret data

Metric System proficiency
- Ability to read PLC program to read step chain logic

Knowledge about electrical parts according function and efficiency
-
Evaluate cable lengths and dimensions regarding electrical drives

Experience about frequency drives and soft starter

Understanding about electrical sensors and analog value processing
Your Responsibilities
-
Supervise and maintain records of all Electrical work carried out within their area of responsibility
-
Ability of prioritization in the event of multiple faults
-
Create and implement strategic directions for reliability and maintenance of plant
-
Train and oversee employees, inspect work, assign tasks, drive vehicles, and take disciplinary actions when needed and Supervisor is unavailable
-
Create, implement and monitor work processes to achieve business objectives in terms of Operating Asset Utilization

Maintain Critical Spare parts list and designated inventory

Determine the need for outside resources
-
Provide out-of-hours support as required
-
On-call duty within the Electrical on-call plan
-
Respond to mill breakdowns in a timely and effective manner and work closely with different area operators to resolve maintenance related issues

Investigate root causes of equipment failures and make recommendations for long term fixes

Help develop PMs
-
Undertake any other reasonable duties and tasks within the scope of the position as needed
