Job Responsibilities:
Oversight of design in the design of electrical systems such as power distribution, stand-by power generation, lighting, communication, fire alarm, and security systems.
Grow, develop, and supervise a group of Electrical Engineers in project design and development tasks, including drawings, calculations, cost estimates, and specifications, respond to client questions and comments, review contractor submittals, and provide clarifications during construction.
Oversee/Review electrical department design documents for completion and to department staff adhere to accepted industry and company standards.
Working with our QA/QC team, assist in the development of company quality standards and procedures.
Work with MEP management team to develop and implement electrical short- and long-range manpower and production plans to meet project objectives.
Assist in the cultivation of business development initiatives to pursue new projects including participation in client presentations.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
10-15+ years experience with a consulting engineering firm designing - and building power, lighting, communication, and security systems.
A thorough understanding and knowledge of the architectural and engineering industry, including the Federal, State, and local laws and regulations that pertain to the industry.
Must be a licensed NJ Professional Engineer (NY PE a plus).
Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
Experience using Outlook and Microsoft Office (or similar software).
LEED Accreditation and working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, and EasyPower desired.
