We are seeking an Electrical Designer-Drafter for our client, remote-based with access to offices. The company has been recognized as one of the fastest-growing firms in the architecture, engineering, and environmental consulting industry. This will be a hybrid position.
Primary Function:
Under general supervision from the Electrical Group Manager. Will coordinate with Regional Lead CAD Technician, Electrical Engineers, and Engineering Interns. Will assist in the design development and production.
Primary Duties
Assist in the design development for the electrical portions of water and wastewater treatment projects.
May visit the site to determine dimensions and existing equipment.
Assist in the development of conduit routing for site plans and enlarged plans.
Assist in the development of quantities for the opinion of probable construction costs for electrical projects.
Assist in the development of control diagrams.
Coordinate with other engineering staff including P.E.S, I.T.S, and designers.
Coordinate with project managers and designers from other disciplines.
Assist in the development of Standards for the Electrical Group.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Preference of 5 years designing-drafting for the electrical facilities. Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit. A preference for also having a working knowledge of Plant 3D, Civil 3D, and MicroStation. Educational preference for a two-year associate degree related to drafting or electrical systems.
