Job Description


Regional Director of Structural Engineering

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Collaboration:

    • Lead the Structural Team, fostering collaboration with architects and multidisciplinary engineering teams.

    • Inspire, mentor, and develop team skills to enhance performance and innovation.

  • Business Development:

    • Secure projects for the Structural Team and support cross-disciplinary business acquisition efforts.

    • Drive workload programming and resource allocation for the Structural discipline.

  • Commercial & Operational Oversight:

    • Safeguard client and company commercial interests throughout project lifecycles.

    • Lead the Consultant Appointment process, including fee negotiations and contractual agreements.

  • Design & Project Execution:

    • Deliver design proposals, expertise, and technical support to meet project brief requirements.

    • Oversee projects from inception to handover, including:

      • Preparing drawings, BIM models, specifications, and tender/construction documentation.

      • Monitoring production phases and liaising with clients, contractors, and suppliers.

  • Quality Assurance:

    • Ensure rigorous QA/QC review processes for all structural deliverables.

  • Performance & Accountability:

    • Monitor project performance standards, efficiency, and accountability metrics.

  • Talent Development:

    • Partner with HR to attract top-tier talent and build a high-performing team.

  • Leadership Collaboration:

    • Participate in statewide strategic planning sessions with senior leadership to align regional and organizational objectives.
