ER NURSE PERM POSITION SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA
SALARY RANGE $90, 000 - $129, 000 DOE

Position Summary
:

The staff Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who performs patient assessment, develops, implements and evaluates effectiveness of an interdisciplinary plan of care for patient populations with various diagnoses. Maintains professional standards of conduct and ethics as outlined in department expectations and professional organizations. Provides education to patients, families, caregivers and other health professionals. Assists in the supervision of other staff members, students and volunteers, as appropriate. Demonstrates awareness and sensitivity to patients'/caregivers' rights, as identified within the institution.

Qualifications:

  • Qualifications RN Experience:
    • One (1) year Emergency experience as a Registered Nurse, required. May consider two (2) years of experience in an acute care hospital in lieu of emergency experience.
  • Qualifications RN Transitional Experience:
    • Two (2) years’ experience in sub-acute care or rehab setting or urgent care center, required.

Licenses:
  • Current California RN License, required.

Certifications:
  • Current BLS required upon hire; American Heart Association Healthcare Provider.
  • Current ACLS required upon hire; American Heart Association Healthcare Provider. Transitional: within 90 days.
  • PALS within 180 days of hire, required. Transitional: within 180 days or when orientation completed, whichever comes first.
  • NVCI within 90 days of hire or by the end of orientation, whichever comes first, required.
  • NIH Stroke Scale within 90 days of hire, required.
