The Opportunity The EH&S Lead will play a critical role in establishing and leading all environmental, health, and safety programs at the site. This individual will be responsible for ensuring compliance, building a strong safety culture, and partnering across teams to support safe and efficient plant operations.
This is a highly visible, hands-on leadership role with the opportunity to build systems, influence culture, and make a lasting impact. Key Responsibilities
Lead the development and execution of all EH&S programs across the site
Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and all applicable regulatory requirements
Develop safety policies, procedures, and training programs
Conduct risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations
Partner with operations, engineering, and leadership to embed safety into daily operations
Manage environmental permits, reporting, and regulatory inspections
Monitor, track, and improve EH&S performance metrics
Drive a proactive, behavior-based safety culture
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field
5–10+ years of EH&S experience in manufacturing, chemical, energy, or industrial environments
Strong knowledge of OSHA and environmental regulations
Experience leading EH&S programs at the site level
Proven ability to influence teams and drive safety initiatives
Preferred Experience
Experience in chemical processing or high-hazard environments
CSP or CIH certification
Startup, greenfield, or rapidly scaling facility experience
Knowledge of Process Safety Management (PSM)
