About the Opportunity:

Our client is a rapidly growing, vertically integrated advanced technology manufacturer located in the Rocky Mountains of Southwest Montana. They are seeking a Director of Manufacturing Operations to lead manufacturing strategy, production execution, and operational performance within a high-tech industrial equipment environment.

This is a senior leadership opportunity within a dynamic, innovation-driven organization that designs and manufactures complex engineered systems for customers worldwide.


Role Overview:

The Director of Manufacturing Operations will oversee all production, quality, supply chain, warehouse, logistics, EH&S, and production engineering functions. This leader will ensure operational excellence while supporting rapid product development and new equipment introduction. Success in this role requires strong technical manufacturing expertise, demonstrated ERP ownership experience, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving, growth-oriented environment.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead overall manufacturing strategy and daily operations
  • Oversee Production, Quality, Production Engineering, EH&S, Logistics/Distribution, and Supply Chain
  • Maintain production schedules aligned with customer and business requirements
  • Own and drive the company’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
  • Develop and implement safety, regulatory compliance, and quality assurance programs
  • Plan and forecast facilities, equipment, materials, workforce, and technology resources
  • Implement process improvements to increase efficiency and cost control
  • Support collaboration across engineering, research, manufacturing, and vendor partners
  • Lead organizational design, workforce development, and change management initiatives


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution (required)
  • Master’s degree in Engineering (preferred)
  • 10+ years of manufacturing leadership experience
  • Experience in industrial equipment or high-tech manufacturing environments
  • Demonstrated ownership and successful implementation of ERP systems
  • Strong knowledge of MRP, inventory control, warehouse operations, and supply chain management
  • Experience leading operations in a small to mid-sized, growth-oriented organization
  • Proven ability to support new product introduction and manufacturing scale-up
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, and communication skills
  • U.S. Citizenship (required)
  • Willingness to relocate to Southwest Montana


Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary: $140, 000 –$160, 000 USD
