Our client is a nonprofit organization focused on the inclusion of children and adults with intellectual disabilities in Northern California. We are seeking a stellar Development Director to join their team and help continue to bring their mission to life!
Position Summary: The Development Director is responsible for driving revenue growth through corporate partnerships, sponsorships, grants, and community giving. This role leads fundraising initiatives, builds and maintains donor relationships, and develops strategic funding opportunities to support organizational goals.
Please note this is an Independent Contributor (IC) role and there are no direct reports.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify, cultivate, and secure corporate and community funding sources, including sponsorships, corporate giving, grants, and third-party events.
Expand existing revenue streams and develop new fundraising opportunities.
Collaborate across departments to enhance fundraising strategies and engagement.
Manage donor relationships, ensuring effective stewardship and retention.
Develop compelling funding proposals and marketing materials.
Support the execution of special events, including logistics and revenue management.
Utilize Salesforce to track donor interactions and maintain accurate records.
Assist in setting and achieving annual revenue goals.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
5+ years of nonprofit fundraising or corporate sponsorship experience with a proven track record.
Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM systems preferred.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends for events.
Ability to be in-office 2-3 days/week.
