Apply advanced problem-solving skills to develop innovative solutions that meet customer

Quote new products, defining materials and processes for costing and ensuring accuracy and completeness of all quotes
Design new products from concept to production, using Inventor CAD software and validate
design performance

Stay up to date with relevant industry practices, trends, materials, and processes to ensure that designs are current and optimized
Stay informed of military specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements, including Mil-Prf-27, Mil-Std-981, and J-Std, and ensure that designs comply with these requirements
Continuously improve existing designs and processes, using a structured approach that
emphasizes quality and efficiency and that leverages best practices and new technologies
Interact with the company's Family of Brands to share information, ideas, and best practices and to contribute to cross-functional projects
Prepare and maintain detailed documentation, including design drawings, manufacturing instructions, test plans, and reports, to support the design and development process
Plan and develop experimental test plans to validate design performance, identify design weaknesses, and demonstrate design effectiveness
Continuously strive to improve the design process, incorporating best practices and new technologies to achieve greater efficiency and effectiveness
Required Qualifications and Skills:
Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, with 2+years of experience in a related role, or a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and identify creative solutions to complex technical challenges
Proficiency in Inventor CAD software or similar modeling software
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
Strong technical writing and documentation skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise, and accurate technical reports
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
3+ Years of Experience with magnetic design and analysis
Familiarity with military specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements, such as Mil-Prf-27, Mil-Std-981, and J-Std
Background in continuous improvement methodologies, such as Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing
Ability to work effectively in a team environment, collaborating with colleagues and contributing to cross-functional projects
