Job Description
Our Client is a Leader within the HVAC Distribution Industry, and is seeking a Buyer/Demand Planner with E3 or Blue Ridge experience in Jacksonville, FL.
Summary
- Provides service related functional expertise and skills to support all business units
- within the Purchasing/Inventory Management sector.
- Depends on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish corporate goals with wide degree of creativity.
- Works autonomously and requires minimal guidance.
- Interacts closely with Purchasing Management, Regional Managers, and Director of Supply Chain.
Responsibilities
- Manage ERP and Demand Planning Software
- Working with Line of Business leaders, vendors and historical data to develop
- the best statistical forecast.
- Implementing at the product family level and creating separation between sku’ s that require a base statistical resupply model and those that require more manual input.
- Manage vendor performance relevant to line of business.
- Delivery accuracy, percentage of delivery on first receipt, freight, order pack quantity, transfer pack quantity, AP/PO variance.
- Optimize the balance of system data, forecasting, lead time and other demand
- drivers to assure inventory is aligned with demand.
- Provide input and resupply models to buyers to build purchase patterns.
- Analyzing cost and demand needs to provide profitable inventory assortment Redistribution management.
- Managing good inventory in wrong locations and identifying if relocation is most profitable method of close out.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’ s Degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science or
- related area, or equivalent substantive work experience
- 4 - 6 years of relevant experience in purchasing and information systems
- Able to build relationships and communicate effectively at all levels of the
- organization
Required Qualifications
- Experience with Blue Ridge or E3 and Clarity purchasing systems/software
- Or experience with one of the following:
- Manhattan Associates inventory planning
- JDA Inventory
- Demand Solutions
- Logility
