We are currently hiring for a Cost Accounting Supervisor. You'll collaborate closely with operations personnel and financial management, serving as an essential asset to our client's team. We're seeking an individual with analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of critically analyzing extensive datasets and providing guidance and mentorship to direct reports.
Responsibilities:
Manage daily staff needs, ensuring all tasks and responsibilities are addressed efficiently.
Communicate and present results to senior management across various departments and geographical locations.
Demonstrate strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
Respond to internal and external auditor requests promptly.
Review and approve monthly account reconciliations.
Analyze monthly balance sheets, income statements, and budget variances, summarizing and communicating findings to upper management.
Collaborate with operations and accounting personnel, providing guidance on operational transactions and ensuring accurate financial accounting.
Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Oversee the review of system annual standard costs and execute changes as needed.
Assist in the monthly review of project budgets.
Develop automated streamline processes for reporting and data analysis.
Contribute to the preparation of annual budgets for review by upper management.
Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and cost accounting projects as required.
Desired Skills & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with a minimum of 3 years of accounting, auditing, or relevant experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential.
Experience with Oracle, Hyperion, Smart View, Snowflake, Power BI, and Alteryx is advantageous.
Familiarity with manufacturing standard cost environments is preferred.
Dedication to meeting customer requests and required time commitments.
Ability to relate manufacturing activities, system transactions, and processes to financial outcomes.
