Our client is seeking a skilled Cost Accountant to join their team and contribute to the success of their growing business. This role is essential for managing and analyzing costs related to materials, inventory, labor, and other operational activities, ensuring the company maintains financial efficiency and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, study, and collect data to determine the costs of business activities, including raw materials, inventory, and labor.
Analyze changes in product design, materials, or manufacturing methods to evaluate their effects on costs.
Compare actual manufacturing costs to standard costs and prepare detailed reports.
Record and monitor cost data for expenditure control and budget preparation.
Provide cost estimates for new or proposed products and services.
Identify and recommend cost-saving opportunities and efficiencies in product layouts.
Develop, install, and maintain cost accounting systems.
Collaborate with management to create reports on pricing, profitability, and operational performance.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years in Cost Accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Proficient in cost analysis, audits, and financial reporting.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
Ability to handle multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
