Our client, corporate practice group is seeking an associate in the Providence office with 3-5 years’of experience in mergers & acquisitions, with an emphasis on private equity. Our client is a premier full-service law firm that has earned a solid reputation for complex ‎litigation, regulatory, and transactional work on behalf of clients in important and growing ‎industry sectors around the world. ‎The ‎position’s responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Essential Functions

Candidates for Associate positions must be able to provide effective and reliable legal services to clients and supervising attorneys.

Associates are routinely required to:

•Draft transaction agreements and documents with efficiency and clarity.

•Manage transaction closings and processes.

•Provide thorough factual and legal research and analysis.

•Competently and professionally communicate with clients and supervising attorneys.

•Complete tasks efficiently.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

•Creativity and flexibility to handle numerous types and structures of transactions.

•Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.

•Ability to work effectively under pressure and to meet deadlines.

•Strong organization and matter management skills.

•Ability to work professionally and effectively with Clients, Partners, Associate and Support Staff.

•Ability to work effectively with others as part of a team.

•Exceptional project management skills.

The expected base salary range for Providence-based candidates in this position is $230, 000 - $290, 000. Actual base salary will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual’s class year, years of experience, skills, qualifications, office location, and anticipated annual billable hour targets (1850 hours annually versus 1950 annually).

Requirements: Juris Doctor. Qualified candidates must be and remain licensed to practice law and be in good standing in Rhode Island.
