Job Description
Our client, a growing project development company is looking for an experienced and motivated Controller. This position is 100% onsite and holds a significant position within the management team. Reporting directly to the CEO, this individual will play a key role in shaping the company's financial strategies and direction.
Responsibilities:
- Managing and maintaining accurate accounting records for multiple entities.
- Conducting financial reporting and analysis.
- Overseeing treasury management, including cash flow analysis and forecasting.
- Preparing and distributing Joint Interest Billing (JIBs) and production revenue.
- Handling annual and quarterly tax filings for 1099s and non-resident withholding taxes.
- Collaborating with tax professionals to complete annual federal and state tax filings.
- Conducting financial reporting and analysis, managing treasury operations including cashflow analysis and forecasting, handling the preparation and distribution of Joint Interest Billings (JIBs)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field.
- 5-7 years of accounting experience within the oil and gas industry, preferably with exposure to upstream operations
- Familiarity with OGsys or Quorum On-Demand Accounting software is preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and meet competing deadlines
- Profound analytical and problem-solving skills, enabling analysis of complex financial data and identification of trends, risks, and opportunities
