POSITION: CONTROLLER
LOCATION: JACKSONVILLE, FL.
POSITION TYPE: FULL-TIME, ONSITE
Summary/Objective:
Responsible for the accounting operations of the company. This includes overseeing financial statements, invoicing, as well as implementing policies and procedures for financial reporting. Please note that this position will be located in our corporate headquarters in Jacksonville, FL. It is an onsite position, five days per week.
Essential Functions:
Thorough understanding of US GAAP
Prepare the monthly consolidation and the Company’s GAAP financial statements.
Intercompany transactions
Manage the close process and prepare close reporting (results by operations)
Research and perform accounting for complex technical accounting items as they arise.
Ensure that accounts receivable is collected promptly.
Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions.
Coordinate the preparation of the audited financial statements.
Coordinate and work with the external auditors
Oversee and manage the finance managers and staff accountants.
Review month-end financial results
Ability to set and meet timely reporting deadlines
Serve as the backup for the Finance Managers as needed.
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration required. MBA preferred.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required.
5-10 years’experience in accounting/finance
Previous employee team management experience required
Ability to communicate effectively about the finances of the company.
Strong attention to detail.
Excellent mathematical skills to make accurate calculations.
Exceptional organization and project management skills.
Availability to travel to multiple site locations in the United States.
