Job Summary: We are seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer to drive the development and implementation of process improvements within our organization. Reporting to the Operational Excellence and Innovation Lead, the role will focus on identifying cost-saving and waste-reduction opportunities, utilizing engineering methodologies, data analysis, and Lean principles. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams across all levels of the business to enhance efficiency, quality, and overall performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct data collection and statistical analysis to identify process gaps and recommend improvement strategies.
Map, document, and optimize processes to improve key business metrics, including safety, quality, delivery, cost, and employee development.
Lead and facilitate process improvement activities such as Kaizen events, value stream mapping, and continuous improvement projects.
Develop and implement continuous improvement plans based on Lean, Six Sigma, and other relevant methodologies.
Coach and mentor team members at all levels in Lean, Quality Assurance, and process improvement techniques.
Facilitate and support events related to process optimization, including new project start-ups, expansions, and process changes.
Track and report progress on improvement initiatives, ensuring alignment with site objectives.
Collaborate with engineers, production teams, and other stakeholders to optimize manufacturing and operational processes.
Measure and assess the effectiveness of capital project deliverables in relation to cost-saving targets.
Develop training materials and provide ongoing mentorship to promote a culture of continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or equivalent experience required.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment (open to most regulated industries).
Proficiency in Lean methodologies, statistical analysis, process mapping, and Kaizen facilitation.
Experience with Lean Six Sigma, TPM, and Minitab;Green Belt certification is preferred.
Ability to independently collect and analyze data to identify optimization opportunities.
Strong project management skills with a continuous improvement mindset and a proven ability to drive change.
Excellent communication skills with a strong customer-facing presence and the ability to articulate improvement initiatives to stakeholders.
