About the Opportunity:


Our client is a construction management firm supporting a major aviation capital improvement program in Los Angeles. They are seeking a Project Manager II (TDIP Assistant Project Manager) to support the delivery of large-scale terminal modernization projects within an active operating environment.

This role is responsible for supporting the management of scope, schedule, budget, and operational interfaces across complex design and construction activities. The position works closely with senior project managers, contractors, designers, and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery while maintaining operational continuity.

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Los Angeles.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Support management of project scope, schedule, and budget across all phases of design and construction
  • Coordinate with contractors, designers, consultants, and stakeholders within an active operating environment
  • Assist in development and execution of design, construction, testing, commissioning, and turnover plans
  • Support stakeholder coordination and interface management across multiple groups
  • Assist with procurement processes including development of RFPs and contractor selection
  • Monitor project performance and ensure adherence to schedule and budget targets
  • Support risk identification, mitigation planning, and issue resolution
  • Participate in design reviews, construction coordination, and field activities
  • Support permitting coordination and regulatory compliance processes
  • Assist with preparation of reports, presentations, and executive-level updates
  • Monitor QA/QC processes and ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and standards
  • Support RFIs, submittals, change orders, and document control processes
  • Assist with review of pay applications and contract compliance
  • Support project closeout and turnover documentation


Mandatory Requirements:


(Candidates must meet all requirements)
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in construction project management or related roles
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Planning, or related technical field
  • Experience supporting or managing large capital projects ($50M+)
  • Experience working in active operating environments (aviation, transportation, or similar)
  • Experience with design-build, CMAR, or similar delivery methods
  • Strong understanding of project scope, schedule, and budget management
  • Knowledge of construction contracting practices and methodologies
  • Strong stakeholder coordination and communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and tools such as Bluebeam
  • Ability to work full-time on-site in Los Angeles



Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working on aviation or airport infrastructure projects
  • Experience with terminal or large-scale infrastructure modernization programs
  • Professional certifications such as PMP, PE, CCM, LEED, or similar
  • Experience across full project lifecycle (design through construction and closeout)
  • Experience working in highly regulated or stakeholder-heavy environments
