Job Description


Our client is seeking an energetic, customer-service-focused Conflicts Analyst to join their Indianapolis conflicts team. This role offers a hybrid environment and a great culture! 

The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in a conflicts department at a mid- to large-sized law firm. Reporting to the Conflicts Counsel, the Conflicts Analyst will play a vital role in researching and preparing conflicts search reports to identify and resolve potential ethical conflicts and business issues for new and lateral matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and execute effective search strategies to conduct conflicts searches for new business and lateral matters using the firm’s internal electronic database. Analyze and communicate search results, including identifying and resolving potential conflicts.
  • Conduct comprehensive corporate research using online databases to accurately determine corporate affiliations and relationships.
  • Collaborate with Conflicts Counsel, General Counsel, firm attorneys, and the conflicts team to resolve conflicts.
  • Draft engagement letters, conflict waivers, and ethical screen memorandums for review.
  • Assist with large-scale review and clean-up of the firm’s existing client/matter information and conflicts database.
  • Provide excellent customer service to legal assistants and attorneys.
  • Flexibility to work remotely outside of normal business hours as needed.
Qualifications
  • Experience: 1+ years of experience in a conflicts department at a mid- to large-sized law firm is required.
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree is required.
  • Preferred Skills: Experience with Intapp and familiarity with professional responsibility and legal ethics rules regarding conflicts.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex issues into simple concepts.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver accurate work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Team-oriented with strong problem-solving and time management skills.
