We are seeking a Commercial HVAC Mechanical Estimator to join our team. This role is crucial in driving the success of our projects by providing accurate cost estimates, competitive bids, and strategic insights to support our growth. If you have a strong understanding of HVAC systems, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you. Key Responsibilities:
Analyze project specifications, drawings, and contracts to determine scope of work.
Prepare detailed cost estimates for HVAC mechanical systems, including materials, labor, and subcontractor pricing.
Review and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents to ensure accurate takeoffs.
Work closely with project managers, engineers, and vendors to develop competitive bids.
Source and evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals to ensure cost efficiency.
Collaborate with the sales team to develop pricing strategies that align with company objectives.
Identify value engineering opportunities to optimize project costs while maintaining quality.
Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client consultations to assess project requirements.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, material costs, and best practices in HVAC estimating.
Ensure all estimates comply with building codes, regulations, and company standards.
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in HVAC estimating, project management, or a similar role in commercial mechanical contracting.
Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, ductwork, piping, and controls.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and bid documents.
Proficiency in estimating software (such as FastEST, QuoteSoft, Trimble, or similar).
Strong mathematical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred, but not required.
