Position Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our long-term care facility team. As a CNA, you will play a crucial role in providing essential care and support to residents in our facility, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. Your role will involve assisting residents with activities of daily living, documenting care provided, and contributing to a positive and nurturing environment.
Responsibilities:

Personal Care:
- Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, and other activities of daily living in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Support residents with mobility and transfers, using proper techniques and equipment as needed.
- Ensure that residents' hygiene needs are met and maintained.

Observation and Reporting:
- Observe and report any changes in residents' conditions, behavior, or physical well-being to the nursing staff.
- Document care provided accurately and promptly in electronic medical records.

Nutrition and Hydration:
- Assist residents with mealtime activities, including setting up and feeding if necessary.
- Monitor and encourage residents' fluid intake to ensure proper hydration.

Comfort and Engagement:
- Provide companionship and engage residents in activities that promote socialization and mental stimulation.
- Help create a welcoming and comforting environment for residents and their families.

Safety and Assistance:
- Ensure residents' safety by using proper lifting and transferring techniques and maintaining a hazard-free environment.
- Assist with the positioning and turning of bedridden residents to prevent pressure ulcers.

Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate with nursing staff, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to implement resident care plans.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure coordinated care.

Resident Rights and Dignity:
- Respect and uphold residents' rights and dignity, promoting a culture of person-centered care.
Qualifications:
- Current and valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards residents and their families.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Basic understanding of medical terminology and patient care techniques.
- Ability to follow instructions and perform tasks with attention to detail.
