Our client is seeking an experienced Cash Accountant to play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing the organization’s cash resources. This position supports strategic financial decision-making through effective cash flow management, bank reconciliations, and foreign exchange (FX) activities. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and skilled in financial forecasting and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Cash Flow Management:
Prepare and submit weekly cash flow forecasts with detailed variance analyses.
Monitor daily cash positions to ensure liquidity and support financial needs.
Identify and address potential cash flow challenges, reporting insights to senior management.
Bank Reconciliation:
Perform accurate and timely monthly reconciliations for all bank accounts.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies between bank statements and general ledger entries.
FX Hedging and Foreign Exchange Management:
Implement and monitor foreign exchange hedging strategies in alignment with company policies.
Collaborate with treasury teams to optimize FX exposure and ensure compliance.
Forecast Modeling & Process Improvement:
Enhance cash flow forecasting models for improved accuracy and flexibility.
Partner with cross-functional teams to refine forecasting inputs and methodologies.
Identify and implement process improvements in cash flow management and reconciliation.
Reporting & Compliance:
Prepare comprehensive reports on cash flow performance, liquidity, and FX exposure for management.
Maintain compliance with financial regulations, company policies, and internal controls.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, finance, or treasury with a focus on cash management, bank reconciliation, or financial forecasting.
Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, or CTP are a plus.
Experience in a multinational environment and foreign exchange management preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
