About the Opportunity:
Our client is a construction management firm supporting a large public-sector capital improvement program in Los Angeles. They are seeking a Business Analyst I to support financial operations, reporting, and system-related initiatives across a structured program environment.
This role is responsible for supporting financial analysis, reconciliation, reporting, and business system processes. The position works closely with finance teams and stakeholders to ensure accuracy, resolve discrepancies, and support data-driven decision-making.
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Los Angeles.
Key Responsibilities:
Support financial analysis, reporting, and reconciliation activities
Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and analysis
Identify discrepancies in financial data and resolve issues efficiently
Support accrual processes, journal entries, and financial documentation
Assist with invoice approvals and financial transaction processing
Prepare and review vendor files and supporting documentation
Analyze historical financial data and trends
Support system integration, implementation, and business process improvements
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure data accuracy and reporting consistency
Support financial tracking and reporting for program activities
Mandatory Requirements:
(Candidates must meet all requirements)
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in accounting, finance, or related field
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field
Experience working with business enterprise or accounting systems
Experience performing financial analysis and trend analysis
Experience preparing monthly financial reports and analysis
Intermediate proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Strong communication and presentation skills
Ability to work full-time on-site in Los Angeles
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working on construction or capital program environments
Experience with bond-funded or public-sector programs
Experience with systems such as Costpoint, Proliance, or similar
Experience supporting system implementations or integrations
Ability to lead or support small projects to successful completion
