Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated Bankruptcy Attorney to join our growing team. This attorney will primarily handle bankruptcy-related matters, managing a caseload in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong communication, analytical, and advocacy skills who is able to thrive under pressure and meet client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and execute key bankruptcy filings, including Payment Change Notices, Post-Petition Fee Notices, Claims Transfers, and Proofs of Claim.
Conduct thorough Chapter 13 plan reviews and advise clients on strategies.
Represent secured creditors at court hearings, both in person and telephonically.
Prepare and file Motions for Relief from the Automatic Stay, Objections to Chapter 13 Plans, and related pleadings.
Manage a high-volume caseload while ensuring deadlines and client objectives are met.
Handle escalated, time-sensitive issues as they arise.
Assist with special projects and other legal duties as needed.
Qualifications:
Education: Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
Licensing: Admission to practice law in Nevada;multi-jurisdictional licensure is a plus.
Experience: Bankruptcy or mortgage servicing experience preferred but not required. Experience with Chapter 11 and adversary proceedings is a plus.
Skills & Competencies:
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Strong research and analytical skills, with a capacity for problem-solving.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Ability to manage multiple cases and competing priorities effectively.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management abilities.
Professional, proactive attitude and a strong work ethic.
