We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Managing Attorney specializing in Bankruptcy law to join our firm on an ownership track. The successful candidate will lead our bankruptcy practice, providing strategic direction, managing a team of attorneys, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality legal services to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the bankruptcy department, overseeing case assignments, and ensuring effective case management. - Develop and implement strategies to expand the firm's bankruptcy practice. - Represent clients in bankruptcy proceedings, including Chapter 7, Chapter 11, and Chapter 13 filings. - Provide expert legal advice and counsel to clients on bankruptcy-related matters. - Mentor and develop junior attorneys and legal staff. - Maintain strong client relationships and develop new business opportunities. - Ensure compliance with all legal standards and regulations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. - Admission to the Iowa State Bar. - Minimum of 8 years of experience in bankruptcy law, with a proven track record of managing a legal team. - Strong leadership and organizational skills. - Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. - Demonstrated ability to develop client relationships and manage multiple priorities. - Business development skills and a strategic vision for practice growth.
