Position: Associate Attorney - General Litigation Location: Alabama, USA (Virtual) Must reside near Birmingham or Huntsville where the two offices in Alabama are located. No relo, candidates must already reside in Alabama. Comp: $100-120k
Our client is a multi-state law firm known for leveraging technology to streamline workflows with clients and partners. Specializing in legal services for financial institutions, including banks, credit unions, mortgage servicing concerns, and commercial clients, our client is committed to providing top-notch representation across all practice areas, guided by partnership, integrity, and innovation.
Purpose: Our client is seeking an Associate Attorney to handle collection and litigation matters. The ideal candidate should be a self-starter comfortable with managing a high-volume caseload and possess exceptional written, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage breach of contract and collection litigation matters from demand through judgment.
Attend court hearings, both telephonic and in-person.
Prepare and argue Motions for Summary Judgment.
Manage assigned caseload to meet goals and client expectations.
Handle escalated and time-sensitive matters as required.
Perform other duties and special projects as needed.
Job Requirements:
Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
Admission to practice law in the state of Alabama;admission in additional or multiple jurisdictions of Georgia and Florida is preferred but not required.
at least 5 years of Litigation experience.
Experience with the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act (FDCPA) and Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) is a plus but not required.
General Competencies:

Strong research skills using legal and non-legal sources.
Proficiency in software tools including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Ability to manage and prioritize a large caseload.
Timely problem identification and resolution.
Conscientious about work completion, deadlines, time management, and attendance.
Analytical and detail-oriented with the ability to work at a fast pace.
Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
Good work ethic and adaptability to change.
