Responsibilities
Case Management & Litigation
Handle civil litigation cases, including contract disputes, business litigation, construction law, and trade secret matters.
Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and discovery responses.
Take and defend depositions, attend hearings, and argue motions in court.
Trial Preparation & Court Appearances
Assist in trial preparation, including drafting trial briefs, witness outlines, and exhibit lists.
Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and arbitrations.
Strategic Legal Analysis & Client Counseling
Provide strategic legal counsel to clients on litigation risks and case strategy.
Analyze case law and develop innovative legal arguments to advocate for client interests.
Requirements
1–3 years of experience in civil litigation (law firm experience preferred).
Illinois Bar admission and in good standing.
Strong legal research and writing skills.
Experience handling depositions, motions, and court appearances.
Excellent verbal advocacy and negotiation skills.
A proactive and detail-oriented approach to case management.
