Our Client is an Electrical Equipment Supplier located in Colorado. They are looking for a full time permanent Managing Director to develop business objectives and drive overall operations, ensuring the effective functioning of the facility.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for P&L and yearly budget
Responsible for financial statements and production reports to determine progress and status in attaining objectives and revise objectives and plans as needed in accordance with current conditions
Analyze financial data and market trends to make informed decisions and mitigate risks
Drive cost-saving initiatives while maintaining high-quality standards and customer satisfaction People Management:
Recruit, develop, and retain top talent, fostering a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and employee engagement
Provide guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback to employees, empowering them to achieve their full potential
Promote a safe working environment and ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations
Continually improve safety record by addressing both physical safety issues and employee safety attitudes.
Oversee overall operations, production in particular, to ensure production efficiency, quality, service, and cost-effective management of resource
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate performance and identify areas for improvement
Ensure effective utilization of materials, equipment and manpower in an effort to achieve business goals for production, productivity, quality, profitability
Establish a culture of Permission, Power, and Protection to facilitate bottom-up decision making.
Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and increase output.
Formulates and recommends manufacturing policies, techniques & methods to maintain or improve the profitability of production and overall operations
Manages the movement of goods into and out of production facilities to ensure efficiency, effectiveness, or sustainability of operations.
Identify and mitigate operational risks, implement control measures to protect assets & reputation
Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards, maintaining the highest ethical standards in all business dealings
Monitoring the fulfillment process of large orders and new customers to ensure on-time delivery.
Reviewing Plant Network Optimization (PNO), and providing recommendations based on targets and shipping updates.
Working closely with accounting to approve and sign the checks, ACH payment, and approve accounts payable requests.
Ensuring compliance with special customer requirements. Leadership & Strategic planning:
Collaborate with the executive leadership team to develop and execute a clear vision and strategy for Power Line Sentry product offering and customer experience, aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives.
Develop and implement comprehensive business plan to advance business objectives, drive growth, optimize resources, and maximize profitability
Provide leadership and direction to engineering, quality, production, operations teams to ensure successful fulfillment of sales orders.
Collaborate with Quality Manager to ensure business process integration with ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
Ensure good manufacturing practices are in place. Develops a Lean and 5S manufacturing culture Customer Focus:
Collaborate with Sales and Engineering teams to understand customer needs and preferences, ensuring products meet or exceed expectation
Build strong relationships with customers and stakeholders, addressing concerns and resolving issues promptly and effectively.
Provide periodic reports to the executive leadership team, highlighting progress, challenges, and opportunities
Foster open communication channels across the organization, promoting transparency, accountability, and effective decision-making
Requirements:
Minimum 8 years of senior operations management experience preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, preferred
Manufacturing related experience and certification in Lean Manufacturing.
Engineering and Technology- Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services. Along with blueprint reading.
Mechanical —Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
Lean Manufacturing- Knowledge and familiarity of lean manufacturing practices. This includes applying these principles when possible. Experience in formulating policy, developing and implementing strategies
Economics and Accounting —Knowledge of economic, accounting principles and practices, financial markets, banking, and the analysis and reporting of financial data.
Administration and Management —Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods etc.
Production and Processing —Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
Mathematical—Analytical and numerical skills: ability to perform mathematical calculations in different units of measurement.
Personnel and Human Resources —Knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training, compensation and benefits, labor relations and negotiation, and personnel information systems.
Customer and Personal Service —Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
Sales and Marketing —Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services.
