Overview We are seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager to lead full-cycle accounting operations in a fast-paced, growing organization. This role is ideal for someone with small business experience who thrives in a lean environment, enjoys wearing multiple hats, and can balance day-to-day execution with financial insight and leadership support.
Key Responsibilities
Own full-cycle accounting, including AP, AR, payroll, and general ledger
Manage weekly AP and cash flow in alignment with business priorities
Oversee payroll processing and maintain vendor records, W-9s, and 1099s
Lead month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations
Maintain accurate financial records, controls, and supporting documentation
Lead budgeting and forecasting;prepare financial reports and variance analysis
Support audit processes, external reporting, and compliance requirements
Monitor cash flow, identify variances, and recommend improvements
Partner cross-functionally to support operations, reporting, and decision-making
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
7 + years of progressive, hands-on accounting experience
Experience managing full-cycle accounting, close processes, and audits
Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls (nonprofit experience a plus)
Small Business Experience is Ideal
Experience with payroll processing (ADP preferred)
Proficient in QuickBooks Online and AP/AR platforms (Bill.Com preferred)
Experience preparing financial reports for leadership or Board
Highly detail-oriented, organized, and self-directed
Strong communication skills with a collaborative, service-oriented mindset
