A growing accounting and advisory practice is seeking an experienced, outgoing Accounting Manager who thrives in a collaborative, technology-driven environment. The ideal candidate has strong client-facing skills and is highly proficient in QuickBooks Online. Experience with homeowners association (HOA) accounting is preferred.
Responsibilities:
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients
Enter and electronically import banking and credit card transactions
Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and loans;prepare journal entries
Prepare compiled financial statements
Process payroll (including quarterly returns, W-2s, and 1099s)
Prepare Sales & Use Tax returns
Deliver financial documents electronically
Collaborate with CPAs and internal staff on special projects
Contribute as a proactive, team-oriented problem solver
Qualifications:
Prior experience in an accounting or CPA firm preferred
Solid understanding of fundamental accounting principles
Ability to analyze and interpret financial reports
Self-motivated with strong problem-solving abilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Comfortable working in a technology-forward, paperless environment
Proficient in QuickBooks Online (Desktop experience a plus)
Proficient in Outlook, Excel, and Word
Experience with tax data intake and processing
Experience preparing individual and corporate tax returns is a strong plus
