A reputable organization is seeking a skilled Accounting Lead to join its Indianapolis-based Accounting team. This newly created position offers the opportunity to work closely with and support a dynamic and experienced accounting leader, contributing to the success of a client-focused environment. The role requires a professional with at least five years of experience to provide leadership and support for accounting operations. It also offers outstanding benefits and one day of remote work.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise local accounting staff in billing, cash application/accounts receivable, and accounts payable functions.
Address inquiries related to billing and cash application processes.
Review billing reports and invoices for accuracy and completeness.
Oversee month-end postings for accounts payable and cash activities.
Ensure adherence to internal controls and proper audit trail documentation.
Provide support to staff, maintaining balanced workloads and fostering a collaborative environment.
Skills and Qualifications:
Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, adapt to changing priorities, and perform effectively under pressure.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent education and experience.
Minimum of five years’experience in accounting or finance;payroll and supervisory experience preferred.
