The Accounting Manager oversees accounting operations for manufacturing and construction activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and timely close processes. This role supports cost accounting, job costing, and inventory management while partnering closely with operations and project teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage month-end and year-end close, including journal entries and account reconciliations
Oversee cost accounting, job costing, and inventory valuation for manufacturing and construction operations
Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and audit requirements
Partner with operations and project managers to analyze costs, margins, and variances
Manage fixed assets and depreciation
Oversee inventory accounting for the manufacturing facility
File Use Tax, Sales Tax, and Personal Property Tax returns across multiple states
Supervise and develop accounting staff
Support ERP systems and process improvement initiatives
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
5+ years of accounting experience with some exposure to manufacturing and/or construction preferred.
Knowledge of cost accounting, job costing, WIP, and inventory
Experience with ERP systems and operational reporting
