A fast-growing real estate firm is seeking a motivated Accountant to join its expanding finance team. This is an exceptional opportunity for an ambitious accounting graduate to gain hands-on experience across real estate investment accounting, construction activity, and fund operations while working closely with senior leadership.
The Opportunity
As an Accountant, you will play an active role in the firm’s financial operations and reporting across a growing real estate portfolio. Rather than being siloed, you will gain broad exposure to multiple facets of accounting and finance, contribute to meaningful projects, and help build scalable processes as the firm continues to grow. You will report to the Accounting Manager and collaborate directly with the Controller and management team.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with financial reporting and analysis used by management and investors.
Support the preparation and review of construction draw requests for active development projects.
Perform credit card and account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy, proper coding, and complete documentation.
Participate in special projects focused on process improvements, reconciliations, and accounts payable enhancements.
Assist with invoice processing, vendor setup, and payment tracking for construction and property management activities.
Support month-end and quarter-end close processes, including account reconciliations and variance analysis.
Help maintain organized financial records across multiple legal entities and properties.
Contribute to the development and improvement of accounting procedures and internal controls as the firm scales.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or graduating soon).
Strong attention to detail with a high level of organization and analytical ability.
Solid Excel skills and comfort learning new accounting systems.
Interest in real estate, private equity, or investment-driven financial operations.
Self-starter mindset with the ability to work independently and collaborate within a team.
