MED SURGE NURSE PERM POSITION - SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA
Pay: $90, 000 yr - $128, 500 yr
Position Summary:
The staff Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who performs patient assessment, and develops, implements, and evaluates the effectiveness of an interdisciplinary plan of care for patient populations with various diagnoses. Maintains professional standards of conduct and ethics as outlined in department expectations and professional organizations. Provides education to patients, families, caregivers, and other health professionals. Assists in the supervision of other staff members, students, and volunteers, as appropriate. Demonstrates awareness and sensitivity to patients'/caregivers' rights, as identified within the institution.

Maintains a safe, clean working environment, including unit-based safety and infection control requirements.
Professional caregiver who performs patient assessment

Qualifications:
RN Experience:
One (1) year of Acute Care experience as a Registered Nurse, is required. May consider RN experience in a long-term acute care facility, or subacute facility, instead of acute care.
Current chemotherapy experience preferred.
RN Transitional Experience:
One year of full-time experience in an acute care hospital (all departments; except Surgery). The surgery department would consider a one-year full-time experience in a surgery center. May consider RN experience in a long-term acute care facility, or subacute facility, instead of acute care.
Licenses:
Current California RN License, required.
Certifications:
Current BLS required upon hire; American Heart Association Healthcare Provider.
