We are seeking a skilled Business Development Manager to join our team. The role involves a balanced focus on both grant writing and fundraising, along with identifying and acquiring potential funders for our organization's development efforts. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in securing grant funding, cultivating relationships with donors, and developing strategies to support our organization's mission and initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Research, identify, and apply for grant funding opportunities from various sources.
Develop compelling grant proposals and applications to secure funding for organizational programs and projects.
Cultivate relationships with potential funders, including foundations, corporations, and individual donors.
Collaborate with program staff to gather information and data necessary for grant applications.
Manage the grant application process, including tracking deadlines, preparing supporting documents, and submitting proposals.
Monitor and report on grant-funded programs and projects to ensure compliance with grant requirements.
Conduct prospect research to identify new funding opportunities and potential donors.
Develop and implement fundraising strategies to support organizational goals.
Collaborate with the development team to create fundraising campaigns and events.
Cultivate and steward relationships with existing donors to encourage continued support.
Stay updated on trends and best practices in grant writing, fundraising, and donor relations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.G., nonprofit management, communications, business).
Minimum of 3 years of experience in grant writing and fundraising.
Proven track record of successfully securing grant funding from government agencies, foundations, and other sources.
Excellent writing skills with the ability to craft compelling grant proposals and donor communications.
Strong research and analytical skills to identify funding opportunities and potential donors.
Ability to build and maintain relationships with funders, donors, and stakeholders.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and fundraising software.
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
Knowledge of nonprofit fundraising principles and practices.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
