Job Description

POSITION DESCRIPTION Position Title: Drafter
Reports to: President/CEO, VP of Operations, Date: 01/23/2025 Engineering Manager

Principal Function:
  • Understanding of cabinet/millwork design and construction
  • Assure projects are scheduled and delivered on time and budget
  • Continuous improvement activities to increase productivity and profitability of company
  • Quality Assurance of products produced
  • Must be able to multi-task
  • Must be fluent in reading of architectural drawings
  • Must comply with Employee Handbook and Safety Manual
  • Must follow Production Policy & Procedures

Organization:
  • Works closely with the Staff
  • The relationship among the Staff is to be one of mutual respect and trust, working together as a team
  • Be a good steward with the Budget

Requirements:
  • 2 Years + experience in drafting
  • Woodworking knowledge a plus
  • AutoCAD and Bluebeam fluency
  • Must be familiar with LEED, FSC, AWI, AWI QCP, SEFA standards

Scope of work:
  • Full time

Compensation:
  • Salary is determined by President/CEO based on experience, education and/or licensing

Position Benefits:
  • Salaried or Hourly
  • PTO: 2 weeks per year starting on January 1. No unused PTO will be carried over
  • Observed Holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day;
  • All PTO must be coordinated with the President/CEO

Specific Responsibilities:
  • Prepare shop drawings and product data using AutoCAD or Microvellum
  • Revise shop drawings & product data as necessary
  • Maintain updated records of all architectural drawings and revisions
  • Document management of shop drawings and product data, including revisions
  • Attend hand-off meetings as necessary
  • Track contract drawings such as specs, RFI’s, ASI’s, bulletins, etc.
